El Meridian (sailing-ship wreck)
A three-masted sailing ship that used to run tourist trips along the coast, scuttled in 2005 off the El Palmar (Palm-Mar) development, about 15 minutes by boat from the port and away from the shore. The top of the main mast is at 12 m and the hull rests on sand at about 27 m (maximum 32 m). Look out for lines and cables hanging from the masts; a rock reef nearby holds moray eels and groupers.
