Liberty Wreck
The Liberty, a 37 m long and 10 m wide former Russian cargo ship, was sunk off Protaras in May 2009 to promote diving. She sits upright at about 27 m, just 90 m from the Nemesis III, which makes scooter dives between the two popular. A two-metre cross placed by the explorer Fedor Konyukhov and a later statue of the Mother of God are on the site; groupers, moray eels and lionfish live on the wreck, and swim-throughs suit basic wreck diving.
