Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon on the Akamas coast near Latchi is one of the most photographed beauty spots in Cyprus: clear turquoise water over white sand, patches of Posidonia seagrass, rocks and sponges. Visit Cyprus rates the dive as ideal for beginners and for practising buoyancy and skills, with moderate marine life inside the bay and larger fish outside; the maximum depth is 10 m (PADI lists 6–7 m), and a cave at about 5 m sits in the middle of the island. Cydive uses it for a swim and lunch stop on its Akamas and Blue Lagoon day trip.
