The Shoals (Demetrios II wreck)
The cargo ship Demetrios II, built in Hamburg in 1964, ran aground off Paphos Lighthouse on 23 March 1998 with timber from Greece to Syria and still lies corroded on the rocks, visible from the road between Paphos and Coral Bay. The reef beside and behind her is dived by Cydive as The Shoals (12 m, seagrass, small cracks, easy swim-throughs and overhangs) and nearby Orphurus (6–15 m, white limestone ridges), with the deeper Damsel Reef (to 35 m) behind the wreck. It is about 15 minutes by boat from Paphos harbour.
