Macocha – alsó tavak és szifonok (CSAK KUTATÁS / research only)
Diving is prohibited for the public: the Macocha sumps are explored only by cave-diving teams with permission. The 138.4 m deep Macocha gorge has two lakes at the bottom, the upper about 11 m deep and the lower at least 50 m deep (Czech Wikipedia). The underground Punkva river passes through the Macošský and Předmacošský sumps towards the Amatérská cave system. The cave-diving club Speleoaquanaut (ČSS ZO 1-10, Prague) reports work at these sumps, including a 2023 traverse from the Sloup-Šošůvka caves to Macocha. Coordinates are the gorge's published position, not a dive entrance.

- Tips: Not a recreational dive site. Cave exploration or research in the Moravian Karst needs permission from the protected-area administration (AOPK ČR, Správa CHKO Moravský kras); apply 60-90 days ahead, free of charge, no fixed form. The AOPK page for the area only mentions diving outside reserves in reservoirs where swimming is allowed (the Šošůvka quarry). Sump diving requires full cave-diver training and a team.
