Lom Mašovice
A flooded quarry about 6 km west of Znojmo, at the start of the village of Mašovice. The floor is mostly flat, with stone ramparts rising to about 6 m and a bare 'moonscape' in the middle. A long wooden ladder at 12 m on the north wall marks half of the suggested circuit. Fish are plentiful, mainly perch, pike and young wels catfish. The east shore has the best visibility but a lot of litter; the left bank has trees and the most fish.
