Lom Svobodné Heřmanice (Čífr)
A flooded slate quarry in the Bruntál district, about 500 m long and 30–70 m wide, reaching 36 m. Underwater there is a caisson (Permon) at about 17 m hanging on chains, a sunken car body, a metal tub, trees, a pump and a wooden pole near 30 m. Visibility averages 7 m, but bottom silt stirs easily; water at depth stays at 2–5 °C all year. The caisson must not be entered without breathing equipment as its atmosphere may be oxygen-poor.
