Ras Abu Galum
Dive sites in the Ras Abu Galum protected area, about 8 km north of the Blue Hole and reached by Bedouin speedboat (formerly by camel). A shallow hard-coral plateau, unusual rock formations and large pinnacles that act as cleaning stations attract turtles, barracuda and eagle rays; the northern part has fine coral gardens.
