Shark & Yolanda Reef
Twin peaks of one seamount at the tip of the Sinai, where the Gulf of Aqaba and Gulf of Suez meet. Shark Reef is a sheer wall into very deep water with schooling snappers, batfish, barracuda and jacks (especially in summer); a saddle leads to Yolanda Reef, where the scattered cargo of the Yolanda (sank 1980) – toilets, bathtubs and sinks – lies among corals with napoleon, morays and stingrays.
