Le Morutier (Cruz Segundo)
The Spanish deep-sea trawler ("morutier") Cruz Segundo (33 m) left Bayonne on 7 May 1960, listed after a lashing cable apparently broke, caught fire and sank; most of the crew were saved. It rests on sand at about 55 m a few miles from Anglet, home to large conger eels with pouting over the deck, and sunfish are sometimes seen.
