Altes Kalkwerk Miltitz
A marble and limestone mine in the Triebisch valley between Meissen and Dresden, quarried underground from the 19th century and flooded after the deposit was exhausted in 1924; since 2000 the dry part has been a show mine. The galleries are large and spacious, with several routes at about 6 m and a deep level at around 60 m. The operator reports visibility of usually 15–50 m, and divers mention water of about 8 °C. Diving is possible only on a few announced winter weekends.

- Permit: The mine is the show mine of the municipality of Klipphausen, which says diving is allowed only with suitable qualification and under guidance. Organiser Tauchtreff Dresden requires AOWD/CMAS** or equivalent, at least 75 dives (two in water below 5 °C and two night dives), a sports-medical certificate, three independent lights, at least a double 7-litre with isolator manifold and a 50 m reel; without guideline cave training only the cavern zone to 15 m. With cave certification (Cavern / Intro / Full Cave) within your level. Prices on their site: guided cave dive for certified divers €60, without cave training €110; Cavern course €330.
