Geiseltalsee – Hausriff (Frankleben)
The Geiseltalsee south of Halle is Germany's largest artificial lake, a flooded lignite pit up to about 80 m deep. The house reef in front of the Frankleben base is a gentle shore dive with training platforms at 5 and 10 m, shrubs, tree clusters, plants and plenty of fish. The base quotes visibility of 10–25 m, usually 10–15 m, which makes it a good place for courses and children's dives.
