Hausteinsee (Steina)
The Hausteinsee at Steina in western Lusatia is a small (about 1 ha) former granite quarry, closed in 1970 and now 33.5 m deep. A rock platform at about 5 m just behind the entry is ideal for training. The best-known object is the wreck of the old Elbe ferry 'Mühlberg', about 12 m long; deeper down lie ore carts, a power pole and ropes from the old cable crane. Average visibility is about 8 m.
