Steinbruchsee Pretzien
Near Schönebeck, about 30 km from Magdeburg, three former quarries in the forest have merged through rising groundwater into one dive site. The base lies at the Steinbruchsee; from there divers swim on into the Blauer See and the Tiefer See, whose drowned forest of dead trees is the main sight. A motorboat lies at about 20 m, and near the entry there are training rings and a few sunken objects at about 6 m. Divers report steep walls, varying visibility and cold water below about 8 m.
