Octopus Reef
A calm bay sheltered by an underwater wall rising from 10 m to 2.5 m, named for the octopuses that lay eggs here in winter. Snorkellers and beginners stay in the bay (maximum 10 m, small bubbles of sulphur in the water); certified divers leave the bay along a slope from 8 to 14 m, pass a cavity at 18 m and may continue to a drop-off falling to about 50 m.
