Junkers Ju 88 (Psathoura, marine park Zone A, restricted)
RESTRICTED SITE: a German Junkers Ju 88 bomber that ditched on 27 May 1942 off the Psathoura lighthouse, at the northern tip of the Sporades, and lies at about 32 m. It was found in 2005 and is on the Ministry of Culture list of 91 wrecks opened to recreational diving. Psathoura belongs to Zone A (core zone) of the National Marine Park of Alonissos, where the park's rules list diving with breathing apparatus among prohibited activities, although the Psathoura entry itself mentions diving; this conflict could not be resolved. It is a remote 75-minute boat ride from Steni Vala with no mobile signal. Treat it as not publicly bookable until the park authority and the Ephorate confirm. The position is placed offshore from the islet's published coordinates and is approximate.
