Cara Cara (Shark Dive)
Provisioned shark dive off the south shore (Cara a Cara, 'face to face') at about 21 m where around a dozen Caribbean reef sharks, mostly females, gather. Operators describe it as an observation dive with strict safety guidelines rather than a feeding frenzy. Position = Roatán Marine Park mooring buoy for this site (RMP 'dive sites' map, Sept 2026 list).

In practice dive operators ask divers to hold it before diving the park's reefs (one operator lists US$10 per year or US$3 per day), so treat it as required and confirm the current amount and validity with the park or your shop. The fee funds the mooring buoys and reef patrols.

- Tips: Advanced certification and precise buoyancy required; provisioned sharks mean the dive is run by specific operators on set days. Related shark dives run at Insidious Reef (Las Palmas) and from Anthony's Key.
