Tulamben Drop Off
At the eastern end of Tulamben bay a volcanic slope gives way to a steep wall that keeps dropping well beyond recreational depth. The face is covered with sponges, soft corals and large gorgonian fans (a big purple fan sits around 25 m), where guides look for pygmy seahorses. Crevices hide lionfish, morays, crabs and frogfish, while fusiliers, trevally, tuna and the odd whitetip reef shark pass along the edge.
