Serua
Serua is a remote volcanic island in the southern Banda Sea and one of the region's best-known spots for schooling scalloped hammerheads, especially September–November (the 'Jackpot' site). Steep walls with black coral and sea fans start from shallow gardens at 10–20 m and plunge beyond 40 m; strong currents bring dogtooth tuna, reef sharks, eagle rays, mackerel, schools of bigeye trevally and pinjalo snappers, Napoleon wrasse and groupers.
