Cannibal Rock
Cannibal Rock is a submerged mound in Horseshoe Bay between south Rinca and Nusa Kode, and one of the great macro dives of Indonesia. Every surface is covered with soft corals, sponges, feather stars, brittle stars and colourful sea apples, a filter-feeding sea cucumber that is abundant here. Look for rare nudibranchs, frogfish, scorpionfish, zebra crabs and sea urchin shrimps, pygmy seahorses on the big purple sea fans, several anemonefish species on the top, and green turtles and black-blotched stingrays around the rock.
