Castle Rock
Castle Rock is a submerged seamount north of Gili Lawa Laut whose top sits a few metres below the surface. It drops to a plateau around 12 m and a ledge at about 20–23 m where the current splits, and that is where the action is: whitetip, blacktip and grey reef sharks, giant and bluefin trevally hunting fusilier schools, dogtooth tuna, mackerel, Napoleon wrasse and sometimes barracuda and dolphins. Sea fans on the slopes hold pygmy seahorses.
