Simon's Reef
Simon's Reef lies north to north-east of Gili Meno. Its coral pinnacles (several 'takats') rise from a sandy bottom at about 30–35 m, with overhangs, sand dunes, large barrel sponges and gorgonian fans that host pygmy seahorses. Fusiliers and other schools build up when the current runs; groupers, reef sharks, turtles and eagle rays are possible. The shallowest point is around 18 m.
