Captain Point
Captain Point suits many conditions: easy at slack tide for open-water students, or a drift towards Telok Jawa. There is no good place for a descent line, and extracting divers is hard in rough seas. Aur lies about 70 km off Mersing in the Johor Marine Park; it is reached by boat from Mersing Jetty and a 2013-dated source says high marine-park fees made operators stop visiting, so confirm availability, fees and MeTOS registration first.
