Aur Pinnacles
Three large rocks off the south-east of Pulau Aur rise from about 30 m to just below the surface, covered in table coral, with barracuda, morays, fusiliers and batfish; reef and nurse sharks and sometimes mantas are reported. The Southeast Asia Pilot notes three deeper 'Pinnacle' dives with moorings in easy reach of south Aur. Aur lies about 70 km off Mersing in the Johor Marine Park; it is reached by boat from Mersing Jetty and a 2013-dated source says high marine-park fees made operators stop visiting, so confirm availability, fees and MeTOS registration first.
