Telok Jawa
Telok Jawa is a shallow site at Pulau Aur recommended for certifying new divers, with reasonable coral and small fish, blue-spotted stingrays on sand patches, frogfish at the coral edges and a few resident morays. Aur lies about 70 km off Mersing in the Johor Marine Park; it is reached by boat from Mersing Jetty and a 2013-dated source says high marine-park fees made operators stop visiting, so confirm availability, fees and MeTOS registration first.
