Fotteyo Kandu
A narrow channel on the north-eastern rim of Vaavu that many operators rank among the very best dives in the Maldives. Its walls and corners are cut with caves, overhangs and swim-throughs smothered in soft coral and large sea fans. On an incoming current grey reef sharks gather at the mouth with jacks, tuna and eagle rays, and hammerheads are occasionally reported.
