Los Tres Oches
Group of three cenotes in Homún – open, semi-open and cavern type – reportedly linked by underground passages. Only one of them is used for swimming; Wikivoyage notes that the others are for scuba divers on prior request. The site is family-run.
Facts
- Region: Mexico – Yucatán Cenotes (Mérida)
- Area: Homún – Cuzamá
- Level: intermediate
- Current: low
- Type: cave
- Coordinates: 20.73913, -89.28503 (approximate)
- Highlights: three cenotes: open, semi-open and cavern, cenotes linked by underground passages
- Unverified: Scuba use is mentioned only by Wikivoyage; no dive centre lists the site and no depths are published. The map pin marks the centre of Homún town, not the cenote entrance itself.
- Tips: Guided cavern dives (daylight zone, permanent guideline, max ~21 m and 60 m from the surface per Mérida operators' rules, max 4 divers per full-cave-certified guide) are open to certified Open Water divers; many operators ask for AOW and 15+ logged dives. Anything beyond the daylight zone is full cave and requires cave certification. Diving only by prior arrangement with the owners; entrance about MXN 60 (Nov 2023) – check current.
