Chac Mool
A cavern system just south of Puerto Aventuras with two water entries into the same large rooms. The first room is bright with daylight; in the second, part of the ceiling has collapsed under an air dome where divers can surface and see two levels of stalactites. A halocline adds a shimmering layer, and on sunny days beams of light play at the entrance among tree roots. Maximum depth is about 12–12.5 m.
