Spitfire Mk IX (Kabala)
The scattered remains of an RAF Spitfire Mk IX lie on sand at about 32 m close to Kabala point near Rose. It was one of two Spitfires hit by German anti-aircraft fire on 7 March 1944 while attacking the seaplane base between Kumbor and Zelenika; the engine sits at the centre of a debris field about 40 m across, with tail parts, a wing and machine guns around it. The wreck was found in 2006 by a Herceg Novi diver and is part of the WRECKS4ALL digitised heritage set.
