Neptune's Fan Sea
A narrow passage between Walib and Wayilbatan islands whose walls carry some of the most impressive gorgonian sea fans in Raja Ampat, growing from about 28 m up to the 5 m reef top. Divers ride the current from whichever end it is pushing, with coral bommies at the southern end and a ridge at the northern end. Fusiliers, jacks and the odd blacktip reef shark cruise mid-water, while the fans and sand hold pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, garden eels and stingrays.
