Lom Beňatina (fürdeni tilos / no swimming)
Swimming is officially banned here: a flooded travertine quarry near the Ukrainian border, nicknamed 'Little Croatia' for its turquoise water. Extraction ended years ago and groundwater filled the pit; the lake is about 8 m deep, and a natural red patch on the rock resembles a whale. Many people swim anyway, at their own risk.
