Šútovo – lom Rieka (Kraľovany quarry)
A former limestone quarry by the road from the Krpeľany dam to the village of Rieka, near the Šútovo waterfall, and the home water of the Martin dive club KŠP Hippocampus. It is only about 12 m deep and visibility averages just 2 m, but it is full of placed attractions: a complete kitchen, a container, various structures, bathtubs, a Mercedes Sprinter van body and huge cable reels, all buoyed and connected with guide lines. At the back are fine rock faces, on the left a flooded forest of sunken trees, and at night many european eel. Recent logs mention small perch, rubbish near the shore and fishing line.
