Klonte weir pool on the Bača
In the Klonte gorge between Grahovo and Hudajužna, the weir of a small hydropower plant backs up the Bača into a little artificial pool, good for a simple shallow dive. From a 1 m shallow on the left bank you swim slowly to the weir: the left gate is 3 m deep and the right one 3.5 m, the deepest point, next to the grated intake. Anglers have thinned out the fish, but a few very shy trout hold near the right gate. Right above the gorge stands the ventilation building of the Bukovo railway tunnel, a rare technical monument.

- Tips: Legal status: the dive is in the weir pool of a small hydropower plant, and the operator's rules on entering the water near the plant/weir are not published; we found no ban, but access across the plant area may need the owner's agreement. Check locally. Park by the Bukovo tunnel ventilation building on the right bank, cross the suspension footbridge and walk along the left bank to the pool. Swim slowly and do not stir the silt – visibility is excellent until divers ruin it. The intake is grated, so there is no suction risk, but current increases at the rapids upstream. Room for one buddy pair only. Best at low water. The sheet dates from 2012.
