Lower Gačnik pools (Trebuša)
The Gačnik drops from Vojsko at almost 1,000 m to the Trebuščica at 255 m over 13 big waterfalls, through a ravine with no path at all, which is why its pools are still full of trout, crayfish and amphibians. From the bottom you can reach three larger pools with minimal gear: a round 3 m pool under the 'eleventh' fall after about an hour of canyoning, a narrow 4.5 m pool under the 'eighth' fall an hour further on, and a dark pool just below 4 m between two overhanging walls. The deeper you go, the more and older the marble trout and crayfish.

- Tips: Small rough parking before the bridge over the Gačnik; a sign there points into the ravine. Kit up as for canyoning (wetsuit on, 5 l cylinder with fins attached, hands free, stones as weight). The rocks are very slippery and the climbing gets harder beyond the round pool; the dark pool can only be swum, not climbed. Turn back carefully – the sheet warns against going further in dive gear. Plan about 15 minutes per pool and bring a torch. Best at medium-low water. The sheet dates from 2014.
