Idrijca pools at Kurnik
At the hamlet of Kurnik the Idrijca meanders and carves pools up to about 7.5 m deep, most with easy bathers' access. The best starts in the pool under the suspension bridge, where the river bends right under a rock wall and big fish hold in the deep water. From there you cross a shallow to a second pool, 5.5 m deep, where the river bends left under the road. In summer the water is warm and clear with a weak current, so the sheet rates it suitable for beginners and courses, and also for night dives.
