Idrijca pools at Oblaz
Between Dolenja Trebuša and Slap ob Idrijci the river winds around the hamlet of Oblaz, carving pools 4–5 m deep in its bends. You can link several of them in one outing: start in the pool under Dominov rob, wade up the shallows to a narrow, fast pool under a power line where a school of large fish waits for food, and continue to the biggest pool around Oblaz. Another pool lies at Plaz, and a small shallow one towards Dolenja Trebuša hides small fish and crayfish. The Idrijca stays clear and fairly warm in summer, and all pools also suit snorkelling.
