Kamniška Bistrica spring pool
The Kamniška Bistrica rises in a small, picturesque spring pool right below the mountain hut at the head of the valley, deepened by a weir in front of a masonry road bridge. The pool covers only about 0.15 ha and reaches 3 m, but its water is crystal clear and never warmer than 6 °C, even at the height of summer. The 2017 PAS sheet describes a gravel shallow in the west, silt in the deeper east and a rocky northern edge, with brown trout, small insects and worms among the algae. There is room for at most two divers at a time.
