Lake Črnava (Preddvor)
Lake Črnava was formed by damming the Bistrica stream below Hrib castle in Preddvor and is a well-kept excursion spot with a lakeside path. It is almost 250 m long and over 100 m wide, shallow (about 1 m) in the north and deepening to 6.5 m at the dam in the south. According to the 2013 PAS sheet the water stays surprisingly clear even in summer heat, probably thanks to the dense underwater plants, and life is found everywhere from the dam to the shallows. The whole lake can be explored in a little over an hour.
