Lake Rakitna
Rakitna lies on a shallow karst plateau west of Krim at about 800 m, surrounded by pine and spruce forest. Its lake on the Rakitniščica stream was deepened by a dam to about 1 ha and 3 m, with a hotel and holiday houses on the shore. The muddy bottom gives poor visibility (under 1 m in summer, better in winter), but small fish and tadpoles are everywhere in the shallows, especially at the southern inflow. The sheet recommends it as an easy dive for beginners or for testing gear.
