Lake Reško (Kočevska Reka)
Lake Reško near Kočevska Reka formed in 1978 when a higher dam was built on the sinking Reka stream at the site of an old mill; the remains of three mills and a sawmill that worked until the Second World War still stand on the shore and under water. The nearly 20 ha lake is slowly silting up and reaches only 4.5 m at the dam. The 2017 PAS sheet describes a route upstream from the dam past fallen trees full of small fish, through a bend overgrown with water lilies, to the mill ruins and a bare bed with many freshwater mussels. The surroundings are a forest reserve of about 50 ha.

Water-lily roots make finning hard; bring a compass and torch. Sheet from 2017.
