Trebuščica pools below Podkobilški most
The Trebuščica is a small, shallow stream that only gets deep where it cuts through harder rock: below the old stone Podkobilški bridge and in a second narrows about 200 m upstream. There a few pools, at most about 2 m deep and changing every year with the gravel, hold surprisingly big fish – in the third and widest pool real marble trout wait for food from the rapids. The pools suit breath-hold diving or even snorkelling, but a small scuba set lets you stay still long enough for the fish to calm down.
