Achondo wreck (Estelas–Cíes)
Achondo is a Basque fishing boat, nearly 40 m long with a wooden stern, sunk in winter 1986 in the Ría de Vigo between the Illas Estelas and the Cíes on a sand-and-rock bottom. It lies almost on its port side at 24 to 38 m and is described as one of the most visited wrecks by local divers; it shelters fish of several species. Sources disagree on the exact cause and place of the sinking (a shoal called La Negra, or a refuge attempt near Baiona), so the position here is only an estimate between the Estelas and the Cíes. Suited to advanced divers. Position estimated from the nearest coast or published location text, for orientation only.
