Punta Pedrera (fishing-boat wreck)
Boat dive from La Savina, a few minutes west of the port, in the Es Freus reserve. The mooring line leads down to a wall at about 12–23 m; from there you follow a Posidonia meadow to a white sandy bottom at around 26 m, where the encrusted remains of an old fishing boat lie, a refuge for moray eels, damselfish clouds and other fish. The wall has overhangs and cracks covered in false coral and bryozoans, with anemones (and a tiny harlequin-type shrimp) and sponges, and the return leads up to a platform rich in Posidonia where starfish, sea urchins, octopus and moray eels are common. The GPS position is the one printed in the Consell de Formentera dive catalogue (mooring).

Sources conflict: the Formentera tourism page says scuba diving is strictly forbidden throughout the reserve, while the Govern's authorisation page and the Consell's dive catalogue list Es Freus sites as authorisable – dive with a local centre and confirm current rules.
