Acantilados de Ifach – Calpe
Calpe municipal route under the cliffs of the Peñón de Ifach. The boat anchors about 300 m from the end of the walk at about 17 m; divers head southwest into deeper water over a gently sloping, increasingly sandy and murky seabed to rocky outcrops and the scattered remains of what is probably a fishing boat at about 26 m, then angle back to the wall and ascend gradually along it past crevices that let in light, with a safety stop. Conger eels, large anemones, ratfish, octopus, moray, bream, starfish and yellow gorgonians are listed, with sponges and yellow encrusting anemones on the wall. Position is estimated from the route description.
