Las Redes – Calpe (Peñón de Ifach north face)
Calpe municipal route on the north face of the Peñón near Los Arcos. The boat anchors close to a vertical wall, below which the slope levels out like a hillside over rocky ground with large boulders from past landslides; the course runs parallel to the coast at about 120 degrees around 20 m, with the observation band on the wall at 15-17 m. Crevices shelter moray eels, lobsters, octopus and shy groupers; algae, anemones and gorgonians cover the rocks and nudibranchs are on the wall. Fishing nets are snagged on some of the largest rocks. Position is estimated from the route description.
