María Claudia – Xàbia
Dive just past Portitxol island towards Cabo de la Nao, circling the small islet La Mona de l'illa. The route includes a chimney-like cave with light openings (from about 11 m rising to about 7 m), walls full of holes that often hold marine life, and a possible encounter with barracuda. The bottom at 15-22 m is sand with large stones and a rock ledge that can also be explored; the dive ends back at the islet wall and the chimney. Position is the map pin on the Generalitat page, approximate.
