Hardeep Wreck
The steamship Suddhadib, a roughly 64–70 m passenger and cargo vessel requisitioned to supply the Japanese army, was sunk by Allied bombers on 1 June 1945 a few hundred metres from Koh Chuang in the Samae San islands. She lies on her starboard side in under 30 m of water; the two cargo holds, the boiler room and the bow and stern cabins can be explored, and an unexploded bomb rests in the sand nearby. The hull is covered in soft corals and sponges, with batfish, big groupers, barracuda, angelfish and blue-spotted stingrays around it.
