Koh Sak
A small horseshoe-shaped island about 10 km west of Pattaya with a sheltered bay that most schools use for first dives. Shallow reefs and rock formations line the east and west headlands, a deeper reef lies a short swim off the west point, and concrete cubes placed as an artificial reef sit in as little as 5 m. Turtles, stingrays and giant pufferfish visit the cubes, while the sandy patches hide seahorses, nudibranchs and shrimp; crabs, morays and octopus come out at night.
