Petchburi Bremen Wreck
A German-built steam freighter seized in Bangkok during WWI and renamed Kaeo Samud, which sank after an engine-room fire and explosion in the 1920s. The wreck lies in three sections on sand at about 24 m, roughly 30 km south of Pattaya near Koh Khram Yai, with the bow and stern still fairly intact and the middle broken down. Coral growth is heavy and attracts schools of batfish, groupers, barracuda and eagle rays, with morays, stonefish and nudibranchs on the plates.
