Ghost Fleet
A cluster of abandoned wooden and metal fishing boats lying upright on sand off Mae Haad on Koh Tao's west coast, now acting as an artificial reef. The seabed is at roughly 30 m or deeper, so this is deep or technical diving rather than a regular recreational site; the operator that describes it recommends it mainly for tech divers, and for dive professionals only in calm conditions. Snapper and fusiliers hover above the hulls, barracuda patrol the edges and groupers and morays hide inside.
